Neue Build, neues Glück: Opera 9.2 Weekly

Es geht weiter... und mal ehrlich: Schlechter als die 9er bzw. 9.01er-Version kann es nicht sein!

Also, updaten!

Edit: Die Sprachdatei ist gleich geblieben (bis auf die Buildnummer...)

We have not been sitting idle the last few weeks. Vacations are over and we're all back in full swing. This weekly offers lots and lots of bugfixes.
Also note that the Windows XP Media Center Edition remote control is supported and can be mapped in keyboard.ini/keyboard setup. We also have experimental support for the "Default programs" feature in Vista.

Changelog:
-Lots of stability fixes.
-Support for the Windows XP Media Center Edition remote control.
-Several fixes to saving of images.
-HTML editing in Wordpress and TinyMCE makes content no longer disappear.
-Page title is now shown (again) under name column in History.
-Fixed functionality on the new Flickr Organizer.
-It is now possible to stop a newsfeed checking for updates.
-Fixed Site Preferences & content blocker being greyed out on some sites.
-Properties in Contacts and Bookmarks panel do not get disabled anymore.
-Opera no longer crashes when trying to save a downloaded file to a full disk.

Windows specific:
-Files can now be attached to e-mail messages if the file is read-only.

Mac specific:
-Fixed crash with last.fm.

UNIX specific:
-Telnet links now open in terminal by default.


And make also sure you do not forget that we also have a
Known Issue:
-When subscribing to a feed you are not prompted the question whether you would like to subscribe.

Ich hatte gerade woanders die Antwort: Was denn, die 9er läuft doch super?

Da habe ich mich in Rage geredet. Möchte ich euch nicht vorenthalten...

Öhem... ok ok, sicher läuft die 9.01 besser als die 9punktnull...
Aber gestern, gerade gestern... da wollte ich meiner Frau zeigen, wie sie ihre Lesezeichen aufräumen kann.
Na, ist doch klar: "Lesezeichen" -> "... verwalten"!
Wie könne sie denn die Namen ändern? Nichts leichter als das, sage ich, einfach rechsklicken und "Eigenschaften" aufrufen.
Nur: Eigenschaften war ausgegraut und somit nicht verfügbar :| Im ersten Moment dachte ich: Das darfst du doch keinem erzählen...
Irgendwie bin ich dann per Panel dorthin gekommen. Da ging es dann.

Vorgestern die RC 1 von Vista per Opera geholt. Parallel lief mütorrent mit irgendwas und sollte den PC runterfahren, wenn fertig.

Komme 6 Stunden später wieder in den Raum und wundere mich... DLD dümpelt bei 2-3 kb/s?

Opera beendet (Vista war schon lange da), DLD ging auf über 100 kb/s hoch, flupp, 2 min später fuhr der PC runter.

Hach, ich bin gerade in Fahrt.
Schon mal eine Mail an mehr als 5 Leute geschrieben? Und dann versucht, die Übersicht zu behalten? Neiiin... es werden brav alle in einer Reihe aufgelistet, kein Umbruch... Als erfahrener Operauser speichere ich flugs die Mail und schaue in Entwürfe nach... tatsächlich, dort sind meine Mailkontakte übersichtlich mehrzeilig aufgereiht, aber: Ich kann sie nicht mehr löschen! Also doch mühsam innerhalb der Adresszeile nach rechts geblättert...

Nächsten Tag "Antwort an Alle": Pffft, bekommen alle die Antwort 2 mal, und tatsächlich, in "Gesendet" sehe ich sogar, dass alle 2 mal eingetragen waren :icon_funny:

Dann (um langsam mal zu anderen Dingen zu kommen...) der Speicherverbrauch: Schlummert Opera auf meinem Arbeits-PC in der Taskleiste und wird zw. AcrobatWriter, Officeprodukten, LabView etc. nicht benutzt, kommt beim Klick auf das Programm das böse Erwachen: Zäh und quälend langsam baut sich das Fenster auf wie ein alter Mann, der ein Leben lang Kohlesäcke getragen hat.
Habe ich zuviel von Opera verlangt? Es sollte doch einfach nur ausruhen und nichts tun! Aber nein, wie eine beleidigte Diva zickt es rum und möchte dann doch lieber gleich neu gestartet werden (Fakten zum PC: 1.8 GHz, OnBoard-Grafik, 512 MB, aber: Alle anderen Schläfer parieren!!)

So, wo war ich? Ach ja, ihr habt keine Probleme? Schön... ;)

Bitte, keine Kommentare wie "...schreib' doch einen Bugreport!"
Was Opera dort treibt, ist eine Frechheit. Vielleicht (!) bekomme ich irgendwann mal eine Mail (aber warum), wann und ob jedoch "mein" Bug gefixt ist, kann ich immer wieder auf's Neue austesten. Also, ohne Feedback wird dort auch keine Arbeit mehr von mir reingesteckt.

Ich habe tatsächlich keine Probleme mit Opera. Aber das liegt vermutlich an mir. ich verwende Opera einfach nur zum Surfen und schließe das Programm danach wieder. Mails schreibe ich mit Thunderbird und News-feeds verwende ich nicht. Aber ich benutz' mein Handy ja auch nur zum Telefonieren... ;)
 
:D Soweit ich weiß, ist das Problem mit den Lesezeichen schon länger als Bug gemeldet.
Und.. ich habe tatsächlich auch keine Probleme mit Opera, obwohl ich Opera sogar als "Haupt-Mail-Klient" verwende. :)
Ein anderes Thema ist die liegengelassene Weiterentwicklung der Adressverwaltung. Die macht mich wirklich langsam sauer... :mad

Danke für die Meldung. Es handelt sich jedoch nicht um die Final 9.1, wie man beim lesen der Überschrift glauben könnte, sondern um eine sehr frühe Weekly der 9.1 (Build 8629, auch wenn die Hilfe 9.03 meldet).

Neu hinzugekommen ist der Pishing-Schutz, den der Artikel auf Golem.de gut vorstellt: Phishing-Schutz für Opera - Golem.de

Dann gibt es da noch ein recht ausführliches Changelog, auch sehr gut für diesen Thread geeignet ;):

As promised last week, here's the first build with built-in Fraud Protection. It's a very early preview of the technology, so everything is not entirely done yet, some sites actually show up wrong (silly bug with CNET sites!), and the icons are kind of ugly. Even the version number is wrong ;)

Für alle Opera 7-Sprachdatei-User: Eine Anpassung an die neuen Frault (=Betrug)-Begriffe kommt erst, wenn Opera weiss, was in die Final 9.1 reinkommt und was nicht. Momentan sind nämlich auch sämtliche Zertifikats-Übersetzungen nicht in die Strings eingebunden, was überflüssige Arbeit bedeuten würde...

...are the main fixes in this mid-weekly build.

PhishTank has been added as an additional Fraud Protection blacklist. PhishTank is a free community site where anyone can submit, verify, track and share phishing data.

Changelog:

Fixes to Opera freezing with Flash 9 on Linux.
Fixed smooth scrolling on UNIX! w00t!!1!
Flash now works on FreeBSD! OMG!!!11!1!


We would like feedback specifically on any regressions you might notice with plug-ins on Linux. Note that the fixes might not fix all issues with Flash 9 yet, but you should see improvements.

A little note on where to enable smooth scrolling on UNIX: you find a checkbox to enable the feature in the advanced tab of the preferences, under "Browsing".

For our FreeBSD users that would like to experiment with Flash on FreeBSD: getting Flash to work is (unfortunately) not completely straight-forward yet, but here is a little HOWTO:
