Just to expand further, the default rule should prevent the initial infection - as long as you do not have an application rule permitting port 135 (i.e. do not allow SVCHOST.EXE as a Trusted Application!). Also, if you are allowing NetBIOS via the Options/System/LAN/Settings, make sure that the IP address range is as restrictive as possible - since any infected machine within this range will be permitted to attack yours through Outpost.
