    AW: Portal Knights [Early Access]

Portal Knights Update 1.1 ist ab sofort verfügbar!!!

Portal Knights… We’re pleased to announce that Update v 1.1 is available to download right now on Steam! This is our first major update since we launched out of Early Access and it’s filled with a bunch of really cool stuff. Not only that, but the team have been hard at work tackling the bugs and issues you’ve been reporting.

So, what additions you expect in this update?

Well... we're introducing the Kolemis Temple Trials Event, the ability to toggle between split-screen directions, a new active portal VFX, dungeon improvements, UI markers for NPCs, Portals and Tutorial missions, 3 dog pets, all-new armor and more!

Console players... We’re heading into submission very soon and as soon as we have a launch day for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, we’ll let you guys know. (Hopefully we won’t keep you waiting too long!)
    Was ist neu?

    "Neu:

    • Behoben: Das Spiel stürzt in seltenen Fällen beim Einsatz bestimmter Talente ab

@Hidden - Bitte vorigen Post beachten! Danke!

    Die Patchnotes nachgereicht:

Update v 1.1.3 OUT NOW - Play Together On Different Islands

We know this is a hugely popular community request and the team have been working incredibly hard to make it happen. Be sure to download now and let us know your thoughts in the comments below...

    1.1.3 – Content Notes

    Additions
    • PODI is activated for the public now. The “Players on different Islands” (PODI) feature allows players in a multiplayer session or in a local split-screen session to visit islands individually. The feature can be toggled on and off in the session configuration menu. This menu can be accessed via the cog-wheel button on the character cards in the character selection menu.
    ◦ For the host player of a PODI session the technical requirements increase for RAM usage and upload bandwidth.
    ◦ There can be short lags during gameplay when co-players switch islands. This is a known issue and it will be further worked on for future builds.
    ◦ Some sounds like the island ambient sound behave incorrectly when playing PODI in local split screen. This is still being worked on.
    ◦ Some of the “Join”/”Leave” messages don’t show the correct content in all situations. This is being worked on.

    Fixes
    • Fixed: event quest display does not show up after playing an event twice
    • Fixed: Some major issues which occurred when retriggering the C’Thiris event
    • Fixed: backpack freezes when opening the inventory directly after porting to a new island
    • Fixed: Events won’t be triggered anymore in universes which have been played with a manipulated local time.
    • Fixed: other players don’t play their beam out animation when they are traveling to a new island
    • Fixed: Invisible HUD after traveling to a new island in rare situations
    • Fixed: an endless loading screen which occurred in rare situations when loading an event island
    • Fixed: The recipes for blue doors and windows made out of blue concrete blocks have been fixed.
    • Fixed: a rare crash that can occur for PODI when used in local split screen when one player is traveling to a new island while another player has opened his worldmap.

    AW: Portal Knights [Early Access]

In Kürze erscheint Update 1.2!

    Community Blog - Update v 1.2

Portal Knights... Update v 1.2 is just around the corner!

Our latest major update is filled with content and features we hope our community will enjoy! Get ready to acquire and build on all-new vacant islands, explore reworked islands, take part in all-new boss quests, all-new enemy invasion events, obtain new weapons, vanity items and plenty of other stuff too! Want to know more? Keep on reading...

    ** New Features and Content - Update v 1.2 **

Various islands will have a new environmental appearance with a different dirt texture, new plants, lighting, sounds, props etc.
The time between events has been reduced. Events will take place every hour, instead of every six hours.
Vacant ‘blank canvas’ islands will be available via an in-game merchant.
Users will have the ability to reset a universe. “Home” islands and the new vacant islands will be excluded from this reset. This will enable the new boss key quests, vacant islands and POI’s in old universes as well.
2 new enemy invasion events for the pool of randomly occurring events. (Mummy Invasion and Stoneguardian Invasion)
New quest chain for unlocking the boss portals. These quest chains will provide:
New tasks for the players, new NPC’s with new dialog, new enemies, dungeons, island environmental look with new sounds, block textures etc.
New item “Boss key” which will be required to unlock the boss portal leading to the first boss.
    New rewards such as:
    Cultist vanity armor set
    New “curse” skill
    C’thiris basecap vanity item
    Large stone bricks block
    Yellow stone bricks block
    Squid pet
    C’thiris flag item
    Pirate sabre weapon
    Pirate pistol weapon
    Pirate staff weapon
Cannons + cannonballs. The new cannon prop can be crafted and placed on any island.
    Pirate vanity armor set
    Pirate parrot pet.
    Pirate flag item
    Meteoroid trophy prop
    Goggles vanity item
    Meteoroid spell
    Laboratory deco props
Boss portals will have a new design and get unlocked in a visually more impressive fashion.
    Additional new items:
Angel-wing ring: drops from hollow king with a low chance. When equipped the player can jump higher.
Cat paw potion: sold by a new “Points of interest” – merchant. This will reduce fall damage.
    Pirate-certificate deco item
    Fake beard vanity item
    Tinfoil hat vanity item
New enemies including crabs on Caribbean/Beach islands and Cultists on the Oasis island
New “Points of interest” which consists of various NPC’s with new dialogs, quests, pre-made dungeons or buildings and special quest rewards:
Crystal- and asteroid themed islands have low gravity.
NPC’s have more detailed facial features - freckles, scars, wrinkles etc.

But that’s not all... This update contains some great improvements...

    ** Update v 1.2 Improvements **

Loot chests have an improved model and opening animation. They are opened via interaction now instead of destruction.
Chests can be opened freshly every time an island is re-visited.
Most dungeon deco props can be mined and placed by the player.
Shelves and cupboards in buildings and dungeons will be pre-filled with deco props.
Rapid placement of blocks has been made smoother.
Jumping while opening a door no longer causes the player to get stuck in the door.
Miner helmet flame will no longer obstruct sight in first person camera mode.
Various bug-fixes for events, island loading, sounds etc.
    Reduced save data size
Reduced memory usage and faster loading
Improved LOD for better performance on medium and large islands

    ** Community Feedback **

The response so far to our announcements has been overwhelmingly positive and we cannot wait for you to check these features out for yourself! As we’ve done many times in the past, we’ll be publishing a short Community Survey soon after launch across both Steam and console for you guys to tell us what you think. Please, be as open and honest as you can be!

    ** Update v 1.2 Launch Date **

So... When can you expect to check out Update v 1.2? Well, if you’re playing Portal Knights on Steam, get ready to download the update on October 16th. As for console players, we don’t have an exact launch date just yet, but once we’ve left the submission phase, we will be able to give you more info. We are however, targeting an October launch!

Yeah - da ist es endlich - das große

    Adventurer's Update

Hi everyone! Today’s an incredibly exciting day for the team here at 505 Games and Keen Games. We’ve just gone and launched our Portal Knights Adventurer’s Update on Steam, which is crammed full of incredibly exciting new content, most of which has been requested by our wonderful community. Want to know more? Keep reading…

    Features
    * Island “Fort Finch” (1-03) is now a town filled with quests, new NPCs, merchants and details to discover
    * A new type of merchant sells mannequins. They can be placed anywhere and equipped with the player character’s armor and weapons to show off the equipment crafted and found during the journey. The merchant can be found in “Fort Finch”.
    * A new NPC type allows changing the appearance of the player character.
    * Some NPCs can be picked up and be relocated to any location now.
    * Several new props for home decorations have been added, including bath room furniture, cage doors, potted plants and awnings.
    * A new “sit” emote has been added to the emote menu.
    * Furniture can now be interacted with. The player character can sit on chairs, thrones, benches etc. and lie down on beds etc. When lying down on a bed, the time will speed up.
    * A Water pump and a drain are available now.
    * Pets can now be placed in pet homes. The pet homes can be purchased at Funny Jongo and once placed the pets can be allocated to the new home. The pets will freely roam about in the vicinity of the home.
    * Several new weapons and weapon variants have been added.
    * Enemies now take more damage when being attacked from behind.
    * Crystals now have seedlings just like plants and can be grown in their correct biomes.
    * Dedicated servers are available now. Players can setup their own, self-hosted servers to play asynchronous together with friends.
    * Steam cloud saving is available now.
    * A new type of epic chests spawns at the end of dungeons, containing special weapons which are unobtainable in any other way.
    * NPCs can now be found in the island information on the map. They will list name and type as well as display whether they are relocatable or not.
    * Loading screens now show gameplay tips.
    * The tutorial now uses NPC’s in addition to info boards and quest texts. This should help new players getting all the info they need for a smooth start into the game. In order for the new NPCs to appear, the island needs to be regenerated.

    Changes
    * It is easier now to escape from dangerous combat if the player chooses to do so. Enemies will give up the pursuit and return back home after some time.
    * The player should be less likely to get mobbed by enemies (aggro distances have been reduced).
    * The weapon progression has been re-worked. Players now have more choice of weapon type per player level and the progression is now better aligned with the player progression through the islands and the crafting materials found on the islands.
    * Flying enemies are now closer to the ground, making it easier to fight them, especially for melee players.
    * Combat with water enemies has been polished. Some situations have been made a bit easier, especially dealing with groups of Rumble Jelly and the Bub-Utan mages. Rumble Jelly have less health now and deal less damage. Self-heal has been nerfed for the Bub-Utans. All water enemies have been slowed down to match the walking speed of the player underwater.
    * Enemies with ranged attacks rotate more clearly into the direction of the attack now before shooting the projectile.
    * Attack and evade queuing has been improved. Additional attacks, using of consumables or evasion moves can be queued earlier now. When several different actions are queued, the evasion move will be prioritized before other actions.
    * When evading, you can now roll up 1-block elevation changes
    * The UI has been reworked on a technical level which improves the overall performance and stability of the game.
    * Dungeon chests, bosses and enemies have been reworked to drop more interesting loot.
    * Object highlighting shows more clearly now which object on the island can be interacted with. The type of interaction is now specified as well.
    * The jump and fall animations of the player character have been improved.
    * The island generation now makes sure that there are no holes on the tutorial island where player fall into caves.
    * The building cursor turns red now when the end of the world has been reached.
    * The flying enemies react better to shouts now.
    * Loading times have been improved.
    * Shell enemy spin attacks are now easier to evade.
    * Projectile speeds for many ranged enemy attacks have been reduced.
    * The character health and mana is no longer reset when switching islands or reloading the game.

    Fixes
    * Island generation has been improved and should now cause fewer instances where buildings look out of place.
    * Some sound issues have been improved.
    * Water bombs work reliably now when thrown at water sources.
    * The player character no longer blocks the projectiles from attacks of the Astral Totem scroll.

    In diesem Sinne!

o One new high-end Cape for each class has been added.

    - Mailboxes can be crafted and placed anywhere and can also be found at large forts or villages.
o Mailboxes will periodically have gifts for players.

    - Spectral Knight Encounters

    - Prices for goods and quest rewards have been rebalanced to make purchases with merchants more consistent.
    - The Jade merchant and Pet merchant events are now rare events, randomly triggered.
    - Tutorial NPCs on Squire's Knoll can now be relocated.
    - Some tutorial texts have been reworked to better fit the player’s journey.
    - The mage weapons “Dancing Swords” have been polished.
    - The first-person camera block placing animation has been changed so as not to obstruct the player’s view as much.
    - Block drops from enemies have been replaced with more useful items such as recipe items for potions.
    - Recipes for potions have been reworked to better aid in the player’s journey.

    - The art for the world globe in the background of the title screen and the worldmap has been polished.

Developer Notes on the New Armor Progression
As with the changes to weapons in Update 1.3.0, we have reworked progression and loot drops for armor. Nearly all weapon stats and character level requirements for armor have been revised.

Our goal was to give players a more meaningful reward after completing a dungeon or a boss fight while at the same time refining our crafting system and giving you more choice when deciding what armor to craft and use next.
Standard dungeon chests now contain SPECIAL pieces of armor. Finding them all will complete different sets.

The remaining armor recipes have been restructured. Whenever players gain access to new resources they will be able to craft new sets of armor and will you be able to choose between two equally powerful sets.

These changes made previous armor recipes redundant and we have removed them from the game! Any armor players crafted using those recipes will remain in their inventories, however.

We hope you like the new changes as much as we do!
