7.21 will address some issues in 7.20, such as file type handling and stability issues experienced by some users.

- Fixed a problem where the Open button was disabled and the program name failed to show when files were associated with WinRAR
- "application/x-msdownload" is now set with extensions exe,bat,pif,com,scr to avoid unknown dangerous extensions on Windows
- Fixed a problem where the "application/x-sh" MIME-type was expanded to "application/x-shockwave"

JavaScript/ECMAScript/DOM:
- Fixed a problem where the cursor would always be at the beginning of a form input field when JavaScript is used to verify text input
- Fixed a problem when changing text alignment in TEXTAREA using JavaScript
- Return #RRGGBB instead of rgb() for bgColor()

Keyboard/mouse:
- Fixed a crash when using mouse gestures or when going back in History
- Fixed a problem where [Ctrl+R] and [Ctrl+L] didn't adjust text correctly in form fields

M2:
- Fixed a crash when changing From address after a message had been saved
- Fixed a problem where "Reply All" with more than two accounts could strip too many addresses or even crash
- Fixed a problem where "Reply All" would keep multiple From addresses
- Fixed a problem where SMTP Authentication was set to None when upgrading from 7.11 to 7.20. If you run into an error message about SMTP authorization/authentication
being required to send mail, change the Auth method for your outgoing server to Auto
- Fixed a problem where the body of some HTML e-mails were not painted when scrolled
- Updated format=flowed code to smooth future transition to use of delsp parameter http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-gellens-format-bis-01.txt

Printing:
- Fixed a problem where the first page printed was tiny

Security:
- Updated to latest version of OpenSSL

UI:
- Tile when creating new (and closing) windows added again
- Fixed a problem where pages did not end up in the proper order when doing tile/cascade/restore all/maximial all etc.
- Fixed a problem where the mouse would stop working correctly after right-clicking in the titlebar
- Fixed a problem where Delete Private Data could cause a freeze

Linux und Co
READ THIS FIRST

The first time you start opera after the update please go to
"File|Preferences|File types" and select the
"Determine action by file extension if MIME type is unreliable" option.
This will be the default setting in the final release. It improves
downloading of files from sites with incorrect server configuration.

@edit2: Hat sich verschoben, ein Bug in Verbindung mit Dateiendungen erschien den Entwicklern doch wichtig genug, den Code noch einmal zu überarbeiten...

Opera 7.21 RC gestoppt
Im Release Candidate von 7.21 ist ein Bug aufgetaucht, der einen Aufschub der Final verursacht. Welcher dies ist ist noch nicht bekannt. Eventuell ist es ein alter Bug und nun wieder aufgetauchter Bug, der dazu führt, das Dateien im Cache mit der falschen Endung versehen werden.
 
Doch, ist bekannt und ich weiß auch vovon er ausgelöst wird, hatte ihn beim RC schließlich selbst gemeldet.

Der tritt auf, wenn Seiten nicht mit der expliziten Adresse aufgerufen werden, z.B.:
http: //www .hier.com/
anstelle
http: //www .hier.com/index.html

Im ersten Fall erscheint die html Dateien als index.tmp oder index.php im Cache, je nachden von was sie geliefert wurden. Wenn man dann mittels Quelltext anzeigen->editieren-speichern->Anzeige aktualisieren die Seite editieren will, bekommt man leichte Probleme :(
 
Manchmal frage ich mich, wie man bei dem Tempo/Auswurf an Betas und RCs noch testen soll...
Also ich komme kaum noch mit dem Installieren nach ;)

Aber dafür wird's auch immer schöner (Ausnahmen bestätigen die Regel; und die bleibt bitt'schön nicht aus! :))

Man muß ja nicht alle testen ;)
...in der Zwischenzeit tut's ja auch eine Version, bei der man selbst keine Probleme hat. Ich habe immer noch eine saubere Op7.20 final Installation nebenher installiert für alles was wichtig ist...
 
Moin,

also bei mir ist seit der 7.21 kein Onlinebanking mehr möglich, man kann sich einloggen aber danach ist Ende. Ich dachte zuerst das liegt an der Webpage da die öfters mal Probleme hat aber mit dem IE gehts einwandfrei. Seite basiert auf JSP. Mit allen Vorgängern gings einwandfrei.

Changes since 7.21 preview 2 (repacked version)

- Fixed a crash problem that could occur on navigating back and forth with a scaling different from 100%

Mouse:
- Fixed a problem that prevented dropdowns from being closed using the mouse on Sun machines.

Actions:
- Added a new flag parameter for "Execute Program" action. '%l' or '%L' will now be replaced with the current clicked url

Dialogs:
- Fixed a crash problem in bookmark property dialog box. Would crash if an illegal nickname was entered.

Download:
- More fixes for file extensions
- Some fixes to the download dialog box to improve handling the situation where there is no system default handler. This allows the Open button to be available (not disabled) in more cases.

Changelog:
Fix for aggressive content guessing when MIME type is unreliable (if setting is chosen in Preferences). ISO files and others got extension WBMP and were loaded inline as if they were images. Content guessing is turned off for BMP, WBMP, XBM, ICO.
