Opera 7.11 TP5 für Linux Intel und Linux PPC fertig zum Download. Wieder einmal mit vielen Änderungen.

Bitte - wie üblich - die Bugs die Ihr findet in der opera.linux Newsgroup oder der opera-linux Mailingliste besprechen, bevor die Bugs an das Bug Tracking System übermittelt werden. Ein gutes, den Fehler beschreibendes Subjekt für den entsprechenden Report erhöhen wie üblich die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass er von keinem der Entwickler übersehen wird
In wie weit die leichten Sicherheitsprobleme, von denen die derzeitige 7.10 Win Version in Bezug auf die Javascriptkonsole betroffen ist, auch auf die uX Version zutreffen - oder ob sie trotz neuer Unterstützung der JS Konsole erst gar nicht vorhanden sind - kann ich nicht sagen, nach meinem derzeitigen Kenntnisstand ist allerdings die uX Version nicht betroffen...
Viel Spaß mit dem verbesserten Sessionmanagement, "schönerem" Fonthandling, weiteren abgeschafften "annoyances" und natürlich beim testen!

- Let automatic session file parsing only take place for files with a ".win" extension. We have had a problem with files that have been accepted as session files when they should not.

The "Imported from Opera 6" file was not shown when upgrading
- Session file fix 2
A parsing error caused imported win files to always open a link in the first window (as if linked window had been set for all windows)
- Improved automatic session file update (save it more often - when windows are opened and closed and re-parented)
- Enabled ecmascript console support
- Replace nbsp's with a regular space in selected text.
Some editors can not properly handle the nbsp character
- Update mouse shape when a document completes loading so that a link can be activated without moving the mouse back and forth.
- Default Qt style is now platinum unless another style has been specified on the commandline.
- Copy text fix (do no end a line with a \r\n marker, just \n)
- Added center ellipsis to statusbar, tabs and personal bar buttons
- Support for "Clear bookmark visited time" in Clear private data dialog box.
- Improved error reporting when launching external programs
- Support for separate reload image / show image menu
- Added support for showing image name in image menu (open image entry)
- Fixed an selection offset problem related to dropdown menus (out of sync wrt the mouse)
- Limit width of popup menus (using prefs setting)

- Fixed problem with user agent string: The operating system would sometimes be reported as "UNIX", instead of the correct OS name, kernel and CPU.
- Got back support for "preferred foundry". The foundry for the font selected as "Normal Font" in preferences will now be the preferred foundry. This is how it worked in Opera 6 for Linux too
- Improved font matching (mapping between what the webpage asks for and what Opera can provide)
- Simplified font naming. Now it is always: "Family [Foundry]" (e.g. "Helvetica [Adobe]"). It used to be foundry-family-charset (e.g. "adobe-helvetica-iso10646-1"). Because of how Opera works, charset is irrelevant for the user. Opera will still understand the old font name format
- Increased chances for detecting a nice-looking sans-serif font to be used in the user interface
- Improved the shape of round bullets
- Copying an image to the clipboard works again
- Fixed problems in Xft library loader.
- Got back support for preferences "Enable Core X Fonts", "Enable Xft Fonts" and "Draw Anti Aliased Fonts". They haven't worked since Opera 6.x. (opera6.ini only - no UI)
- Support for more X configuration (8 bit PseudoColor/StaticColor and all kinds of TrueColor visual classes).
- Speed-optimization in image handling
- Improved the shape of round bullets
- Copying an image to the clipboard works again
