Hey Board,

ich habe neulich diesen Song gehört und konnte trotz intensivem rumgooglen nicht herausbekommen, wie er heißt und wer ihn singt... Habe vom Text folgendes aufgeschnappt: "and when he says [kuku?!]" ... "he´s the [keine Ahnung] in my class". Das ganze klang wie eine alte Swing-Nummer, so ähnlich wie dieses bekannte "Bei mir bist Du schön"... Bin für jeden Tip dankbar!

Der Film mit Esther Williams lief hier glaub ich als "Badende Venus" , die heute bekannteste Version des Songs dürfte die auf "Stars on 45" der Star Sisters sein. Da es in America ein Standard ("Evergreen") ist, dürfte das jeder zweite oder dritte Sänger bzw. Big Band der Kriegs- und Nachkriegsgeneration im Repertoire gehabt haben. Die bekannteste Instrumental-Version stammt meines Wissens von Xavier Cougat, der das Ding auch im Film spielt.
